FAQs

Do you hire equipment?
We do not offer a scooter/chair hire service at present. There are other local businesses which should be able to help you with this. We also do not provide hire of mobility equipment in general. If you require support, please contact your GP or hospital team.

What price is a service for my mobility scooter?
Prices are dependent on the make and model of the scooter, plus the condition if it means the service time is extended by a need for more extensive cleaning. For a price, please contact us with the details in the first instance, including your location if you would like us to collect or complete an on-site service.

How often should I be charging my mobility scooter?
For a scooter with standard lead acid batteries, the recommendation is to charge after each use and keep the charger connected until the next time you use it. For Lithium-Ion batteries, advice is to avoid overcharging (avoid charging when over 80%) but also not run the battery completely flat (keep above 20%). Please check your manual for full instructions and guidance for your specific item.

What is the process for booking private servicing or repairs?
Please contact us with the details of the item, your contact details and address. This allows us to manage appointments that are nearby and give the most time efficient service to you. It is also helpful if you think you need parts for repairs that you find the serial number of the item as well as the make and model, so that we can source these. The serial number of your item is usually on a sticker on the frame, or on the original paperwork. Once we have received these details your enquiry will be recorded, and we will get back to you to book a mutually convenient appointment.

Do you offer private instalment plans?
We are unable to offer this and require items to be paid for in full at the time of collection or delivery. We can offer to hold smaller items in the shop for a short period of time though. For larger purchases, we may ask you to pay a deposit, which is either refundable or non-refundable depending on the item itself.

What if I would like to fit the parts myself?
You are more than welcome to source parts through us, however, there will still be an additional charge for the time it takes to source these, take delivery and for communications. Suppliers will also charge carriage costs that may be passed to you as necessary.

Can you offer me breakdown recovery for my scooter?
Within the Motability Scheme, you will be able to utilise the Breakdown Recovery Service on 0800 953 5000. This is not available to private customers, and we are unable to support unless in exceptional circumstances, which will incur a charge.

What prices do your second-hand scooters start from?
Dependent on what models we have in stock and their individual condition, we can offer you solutions from £550, depending on your needs. We pride ourselves on matching the right product to the individual and will recommend what we feel suits you and your needs best.

Will you offer me a part exchange for my used product?
A part exchange is always at the discretion of the partners, and depends on many factors including space, time, supply and demand. If you are interested in exploring the option, please make us aware when speaking with us about buying a new product.
